Root 40 MusicFest ended with an outdoor stage

The Upper Colfax Root 40 MusicFest ended with Musicians In Action‘s all-day outdoor stage located at Colfax and Lafayette (the parking lot of the GLBT Community Center).  Bands launched at 11AM and went through the early evening.

Open Stage Denver donated the sound system and sound techs for the event.  This company hosts open mics around the Denver Metro area.  Colorado Audio donated the outdoor stage and Vitamin Water was a key sponsor for the beverages enjoyed by all.

The outdoor stage also acted as a collection site for The Gathering Place.  M.I.A. collected nonperishable food items for Denver’s only day center for women and children experiencing poverty and homelessness.

The lineup included:

  • Side of the Road
  • Synergy
  • SuperSeed
  • Gription
  • White Fudge & MF Ruckus (split set)
  • Hot Apostles
  • The FTP Band
  • The Hits
  • The Pirate Signal
  • Nemesys (acoustic set)

Plans are already underway for next year’s festival.  If you have a band interested in performing and volunteering, send an email to info@MusiciansInAction.org.
